One of the things I wanted to write a post on was the reason I chose to set up The Sports Hall. To begin with, I should probably introduce myself and explain what the plan is.
My name is Joey, I’m 31 and have a beautiful wife, an adorable son, and two fantastic cats. I have absolutely loved sport since the second I stepped into a sports hall at school and did PE! Competing against people, making friends, playing games and giving me something to look forward to when school wasn’t all that fun, made sport become an escape for me!
The Sports Hall is a place for me to write my thoughts and opinions about sports, stories that are going on in the sporting world, and anything else I think of that’s sports related. I am not a professional sports writer, and some of these posts will probably be written pretty badly as they will just be thought-dumps, but I just really wanted to have somewhere to share my opinions.
The sport I love the most is American Football, but living in the UK means I have very few people to talk to when it comes to discussing the NFL. It’s an absolute passion of mine and I love thinking and talking about it….but I have nobody who wants to listen! Enter….The Sports Hall! I’m getting more and more in to the NBA, and I have always loved the UFC, Rugby, Formula 1, Football, Tennis, Golf and pretty much any other competitive sport, so expect posts on all of the above. I could write a post on its own about why I think sport is so special, but that will be for another day!
So what to expect? You’ll see posts about the NFL the most, just because I am a massive New York Giants fan, and I will always want to write about them! Other post topics could be:
- Sports team rankings
- Hot topic – commentary on what is going on around a specific sports story
- Game reviews
- Random sports thought
- Season predictions (winners/losers etc.)
There will be others, but it will be random and hopefully interesting!
