Giants Predictions 2023/24

Last season I was pretty reserved with how I expected the season would turn out, predicting they would go 7-10. I still wasn’t that confident in even that record so when they went 9-7-1, I was bloody thrilled. This season I have much higher expectations with how the team will play and how they will be coached, BUT with a schedule this tough, I’m not sure what I expect. This is going to be my first and only time running through the schedule giving wins and losses to games, so we will see where we end up.

Week 1 – Cowboys (H)

Loss – I was shocked to start last season with a win, and it’s back to normality in Week 1! The Cowboys are going to be one of the top NFC teams this year, and I just don’t think we have the skill positions to beat this team.

Week 2 – Cardinals (A)

Win – The Cardinals are tanking and could finish the season with 2 wins…if this ends up being a loss, the season is already over.

Week 3 – 49ers (A)

Loss – Alongside the Cowboys, one of the best teams in the NFC and league. Their defence will outmatch our offence and they’ll win a scrappy game holding us to below 15 points.

Week 4 – Seahawks (H)

Win – We are going to have to play well against teams that did well last year if we want to show progression. The Seahawks were good but not great last year, similar to the Giants. I feel like we have improved more than they have.

Week 5 – Dolphins (A)

Loss – The speed of this Dolphins team is unmatched and playing in Miami in the heat will make beating Tua and Tyreek too difficult.

Week 6 – Bills (A)

Loss – Too much fire power on offence and defence, with a better QB. Daniel Jones is Josh Allen Lite, and I think there will be a bit of an added revenge storyline against Daboll, so I chalk this one up as another L.

Week 7 – Commanders (H)

Win – This team sucks, and I cannot stand them. Daniel Jones owns this team, so I refuse to accept the Giants can lose to a Sam Howell led team.

Week 8 – Jets (H)

Win – An unlikely victory which nobody will pick in the media. The Jets are Superbowl contenders to a lot of people, but I think the DL will destroy what’s left of the Jets OL and we will overpower the second best team to use MetLife Stadium.

Week 9 – Raiders (A)

Win – The Raiders will probably be bottom of their division and starting to worry about their QB and Head Coach, so this will be a good way for the Giants to continue building their momentum.

Week 10 – Cowboys (A)

Loss – I would rather predict the Cowboys sweep the Giants and then just be pleasantly surprised if it doesn’t happen.

Week 11 – Commanders (A)

Win – The Giants know they will need every win possible with this schedule, and I can’t see them going into a game with Washington not feeling confident. The coaching, the QB, the defence and the overall team is better for the Giants, so it will be too much for the Commanders to overcome.

Week 12 – Patriots (H)

Win – At this point the Patriots will have already established their mediocrity on offence, and this will be a good chance for the Giants offence who will have had 11 games to put it all together to test themselves against a Patriots defence with led by BB will be excellent. We scrape the win here.

Week 13 – BYE – Going into the bye with a 7-6 record would be a good result.

Week 14 – Packers (H)

Win – The Packers led by Jordan Love are a big unknown, but even if he plays well, they don’t have enough to beat this Giants team I don’t think.

Week 15 – Saints (A)

Loss – After a good run of wins, I think the streak comes to an end because NO always have a great defence. They’ll be fighting to win their division unlike the Giants, and the Giants will be looking ahead to an Eagles game.

Week 16 – Eagles (A)

Loss – Similar to the Cowboys, they just have a better team. I can’t see our OL holding up, and I think although our DL could trigger some pressure against Jalen Hurts, he is very good and will dice up the Giants secondary which is a weak point.

Week 17 – Rams (H)

Win – The Rams will be tanking at this point, and they are an awful team anyway. No chance the Giants lose here.

Week 18 – Eagles (H)

Loss – As much as I would love to split the series with the Eagles, they will be chasing the division win and will want to go into the playoffs sending a message. The Giants will have potentially secured a wildcard spot already by this point, so they’ll be looking ahead to the playoffs.

There we go, the full season broken down game by game, and I have the Giants going 9-8. The record may not look like an improvement on last year, but against this schedule that would be one hell of a result. If the Giants can make the playoffs again, it will have proved a lot of people wrong.

Let’s go G-men!!!!!
